In this sequel to the original Annie Mouse's Route 66 Adventure: A Photo Journal, the fictional Mouse family travels the Mother Road from west to east, having new adventures, reuniting with friends made on their previous journey, and meeting new friends along the way. Annie Mouse shares her photographs and tales of the family's journey along Route 66 from California to Illinois, under the guidance of Cousin Penny, who also serves as the family's driver. The family learns the route never stays the same; there are always new adventures to be had and new things to learn about its history! This adventure was inspired by the author's many Route 66 trips and features her original photography.
About the Author: Anne Maro Slanina, Ph.D. is a retired professor of elementary/early childhood education. She is a Route 66 enthusiast who has traveled the Mother Road every year since 2006 and always discovers something new. She encourages parents to enjoy road trips with their children. Road trips on historic highways like Route 66 are excellent educational experiences and help bring families together.
